What is a Multi-day Medical Certificate?

A multi-day medical certificate is different to a single-day medical certificate. You’ll want to request a multi-day medical certificate when you take two or more days off from work or school in a row because of illness or to care for someone ill.

2-day Medical Certificates

A 2-day medical certificate covers you when you miss two consecutive days of work or school because you’re sick or caring for someone ill.

How it works

If you’re wondering how to get a multi-day medical certificate online, Healthengine can support you.

STEP 1

Choose your appointment

Choose a suitable appointment based on whether you need a same-day or multiple-day medical certificate. If you have multiple issues to discuss with a doctor or need a diagnosis, choose a consult relevant to how long you think you will need.

STEP 2

Book with confidence

Enter your details to make your booking and securely pay online. If you've selected a same-day medical certificate via online form, you will need to complete an online form which a doctor will review. If you choose the consult option, you will receive a booking confirmation with instructions about what comes next.

STEP 3

Proceed with your consult

For an on-demand or scheduled consult, you will receive a link to join the consultation via SMS and email. From there, join the virtual waiting room to connect with your doctor. No downloads or software is needed.

STEP 4

Receive your documents

At the end of your consultation, if you were issued a medical certificate or referral these will be sent to your email. If you were prescribed medication, you can receive an electronic script (eScript) to your phone or email, or have it sent to a nearby pharmacy.
