I grew up in rural Australia and lived on a farm for a few years and went to school nearby. I completed undergraduate medical school through Monash University and graduated in 2010. Then I worked a variety of hospital jobs over the years including resident terms in psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, emergency, orthopaedics, general surgery, plastic surgery, ENT ophthalmology and several others. I completed a number of courses including a post-graduate diploma in surgical anatomy.

Then in 2018 I started G.P. training and passed all of my exams in 2019. I also have a special interest and good knowledge of sports medicine and musculoskeletal medicine and intend to do further training in this area.

I have several sporting interests the main ones being training in powerlifting and strongman for competitions.
