Overview
Lawrence is a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist who has been in private practice for 19 years , servicing the community and assisting with a wide range of health conditions. Since completing his undergraduate degree in 2000 he has travelled to China for clinical placement and worked with doctors in both acupuncture and herbal medicine clinics. He has also been involved in both teaching and clinic supervision roles in Australia during his career. Over the last 10 years he has focused on treating clients and sharping his skills by learning a number of different acupuncture systems that focus on pain and recently completing further undergraduate education in Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Utilising his vast array of different acupuncture techniques, Lawrence is able to adapt his acupuncture to treat a variety of different conditions. From applying Tung acupuncture for relief of acute strong pain or using The Balance method for dealing with stress and sleep disorders there are many conditions that acupuncture now has strong evidence for treating. Lawrence is also trained in techniques adapted from Japanese Acupuncture that are gentle enough for children to be also treated.
Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine has been used for thousands of years to treat many internal conditions and Lawrence has applied this system in treating a vast array of conditions during his many years of practice. Using granulated Chinese Herbs for easier patient compliance he uses herbal medicine in the treatment of digestive, skin, urinary and gynaecological conditions. In 2018 Lawrence completed studies in Classical Chinese Medicine as a graduate of the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine (ICEAM). This is a family lineage system that uses a highly developed pulse diagnosis method for selection of classical chinese medicine formulas in the treatment of disease.
