Overview
Caitlin is a passionate dietitian who enjoys working closely with people to improve their general health and wellbeing, and those with more specific medical concerns requiring nutritional support. Caitlin’s interest in nutrition was sparked at a young age when her father and sister were diagnosed with Coeliac Disease requiring a strict gluten free diet. This first-hand experience has given Caitlin an in-depth understanding of the impact that diet can have on everyday life.
Caitlin graduated from her Bachelor of Science majoring in Nutrition in 2016 and went on to complete her Master of Dietetics in 2018. Throughout her master’s degree, Caitlin completed over 825 hours of placement, providing group and individualised care in both community and clinical settings such as Royal Perth Hospital, Fremantle Hospital, St John of God Subiaco and Joondalup Health Campus. During this time Caitlin consulted patients with a wide range of condition including: diabetes, weight loss, malnutrition, diverticulitis, gastrointestinal disorders and assisting patients with side effects of cancer treatments affecting their food intake.
Caitlin’s vast experiences and love for health has seen her passion for helping others grow. In 2018 Caitlin submitted a poster presentation to the Dietitian Australia Association annual conference and the 2018 Dietary Intake Conference in London, based on ways to improve dietary assessment.
