Trained as a GP in the UK. Moved to Australia 5 years ago, working as a GP in Maclean, a rural town south of Byron Bay in NSW. Also worked at the same time as a Medical Officer in Maclean District Hospital. Moved to Perth with his wife and two little children.

Navin likes to surf, scuba dive and play the acoustic guitar  and is now learning to kite surf.

His interests include family, men's and children's health, mental health and well being, alcohol and sexual health and chronic diseases medicine.
