Dr French studied medicine at Sydney University and spent several years working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Whilst in the United Kingdom she undertook further specialty training in Primary Care (GP) and Forensic Medicine. She has considerable experience in community gynaecology and sexual health, being qualified to insert and remove contraceptive implants (Implanon) and coils (including Mirena). She performs skin checks, preventive medicine, chronic care and mental health assessments. She also has an interest in Trichology (hair problems). As a Forensic Physician she has experience in examinations following abuse and sexual assault, caring for vulnerable adults and Safeguarding. She has also worked in non-clinical roles including Clinical Governance.
