Dr Tony Hammond was born and educated in Melbourne. He attended Murrumbeena Secondary School and Monash University graduating in 1977.

He also married in 1977, and he and his wife have two children and one granddaughter.

Dr Hammond has worked in the Glen Huntly and South Caulfield areas since 1988 and joins Eastbound Clinic in 2019.

Dr Hammond has a broad range of skills relevant to general practice and the provision of quality care to his patients. These include geriatric medicine, psychiatry of old age, addiction medicine, skin cancer care, chronic disease management, musculoskeletal medicine, and spinal manipulation.

His interests outside medicine include reading, walking, golf, travel, meditation and yoga, and spending time with his granddaughter.
