Ashmitha graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, during which time she took a keen interest to the role of physiotherapy in helping rehabilitate clients. As a result, she decided to forgo her Honours programme and commenced her Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) from the Auckland University of Technology. Ashmintha joined the Back In Motion team in early 2017.

Her special areas of interest include treating neck and lower back pain. She also has a keen interest in treating sporting injuries. Ash is loves rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries/ pain with Clinical Exercise. She thoroughly enjoys interacting with her clients and ensuring a holistic approach to their treatment and progress.

Outside of work, Ash has a keen interest in travelling and participating in dance/musical performances. She misses her family and friends back in Auckland but feels that Melbourne is truly a great fit for her.
