Dr Oliver completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Science with honours in Anatomy at the University of Queensland.  Since then he has worked at the Ipswich and Gladstone Emergency Departments before pursuing a career in General Practice.  Away from the clinic, Dr Oliver enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs.  He also enjoys camping and the outdoors when opportunities present and also enjoys live music and sporting events.  To stay fit and healthy, he is a keen trail runner.

The best thing about General Practice for him is he loves being able to develop a therapeutic relationship with patients and families over time and working collaboratively to help with preventative strategies for their health and any other issues that arise in the future.
