Dr Sandhu did her post graduation in Dermatology from Post graduate Institute of medical education and research , a premier tertiary health care institute in Chandigarh, North India in the year 2000. After qualifying as A Dermatologist she took keen interest in academics and clinical trials and has more then 50 publications to her credit in various international journals. After working as a consultant dermatologist in India for 10 years she moved to Australia and attained the fellowship of Australian College of Dermatologists in the year 2011. 

Her main area of interest include general dermatology, pigmentary disorders and skin cancer management.She also runs the hyperhidrosis and PdT clinics at the skin and cancer foundation Victoria.
