Dr Hamid Hosseini has been a GP (general practitioner) since 1996. He completed his degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He worked extensively and after gaining valuable experience in general practice, he undertook advanced studies in Immunology, Autoimmune and Cardiovascular Diseases and obtained the awards of MBMS (Hons) and PhD from Monash University in 2015. He was based at Monash Medical Centre and Alfred Health, Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute.

In 2011, Hamid started taking an active part in clinical academics and engaged in research as a Postdoctoral Research Officer in the field of Heart Attack, Stroke and Cardiovascular Diseases at Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, Alfred Health. He received his Australian Medical Council (AMC) certificate as well.

Dr Hosseini is a renowned GP in Nunawading who delivers invaluable expert support and guidance throughout the patient’s treatment. He has in-depth knowledge of a broad range of general health problems, including cosmetic procedures. He focuses on Preventive Medicine, especially in the field of Heart Attack, Stroke, Geriatrics, Obesity, Hyperlipidaemia, Diabetes.

Hamid is passionately interested in Travel Medicine, Mental Health, Skin Cancer, General Counselling, Family Therapy and Men’s Health. He is known for his expertise in the management of Chronic Pain and Sports Medicine with the help of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).
