About Saskia
Saskia is a registered psychologist with more than 20 years experience working across the lifespan in a variety of roles. She has worked in public and private practice in areas of generalist psychology, child and family, traumatic brain injury, occupational rehabilitation, sexual assault, chronic health conditions, trauma and dissociation.
Saskia has an understanding of the impact of trauma in its many forms and an ability to hear her clients’ stories and help them to make sense of it. She has significant experience in treating the psychological conditions that may result from adverse experiences.
She has an eclectic approach to treatment with a firm belief in tailoring treatment to the individual. This begins with gaining a thorough understanding of the individual and the development of a treatment plan based on this understanding. Modalities of treatment favoured by Saskia include cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, radical emotion focused tapping, trauma focused therapy and brief solution focussed therapy.
Outside of work, Saskia enjoys the great outdoors, gardening, bushwalking, photography, cooking and devouring a good novel.
