Overview
Dr Mark Chernoff is a dual Australian/Canadian citizen that completed a bachelor of science in Exercise and Health Physiology in Canada before completing a medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2010.
He began his postgraduate career at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne where he concentrated on general surgery and plastic surgery.
He has since changed the scope of his practice gaining experience in Emergency Medicine in Northern NSW, and fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Experience
Dr Chernoff is trained in rural emergencies, paediatrics, women’s health and aboriginal medicine.
He has been an admitting officer in rural medicine, a Visiting Medical Officer at several public hospitals and an Aboriginal Medical Service, as well as a private practice GP and occupational health medical consultant.
His procedural competencies include:
- Mirena and Implanon contraceptive insertion,
- vasectomy,
- dermoscopy,
- non-invasive skin cancer treatment,
- cosmetic skin peel therapy,
- facial cosmetic lesion removal,
- scar treatment,
- cosmetic skin cancer flap/graft/minimisation surgery,
- large lipoma/benign tumour and cyst surgery, and musculoskeletal soft tissue and joint therapeutic injections.
