Wei-Sen trained in Perth through the University of Western Australia and completed his oncology training through the main tertiary hospitals in WA.
Dr Wei-Sen Lam manages in the care of patients of all solid tumour streams and has a special interest in lung cancer, mesothelioma and breast cancer
Wei-Sen has a keen interest in research and is actively involved in clinical trials. Dr Lam was a successful recipient of the WA Cancer and Palliative Care Network Fellowship and completed a clinical research fellow position at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Dr Lam is actively involved in education and training through the WA Clinical Oncology Group (WACOG)
Wei-Sen has also worked as a volunteer in Peru in 2007 and 2008. During this time, Wei-Sen ran a medical clinic while helping in education and health in the schools and communities surrounding Cusco. Wei-San is also the clinical lead for TeleOncology, a WA Country Health Service initiative to bring cancer services to rural and remote areas of WA.
He has a great reputation for communicating well with patients and staff and takes pride in the care and wellbeing of his cancer patients
