Dr Thandar qualified for her MBBS at the University of Medicine 1, Yangon in Myanmar and migrated to Australia in 2010. She has previously practiced in various areas of hospitals in Victoria, NSW and South Australia. Dr Thandar completed the Specialist GP Training in the Northern Territory and holds the Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Thandar has additional qualifications: Diploma in Child Health, Diploma in Dermatology (Australian Institute of Dermatology), Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy and she is also a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr Thandar has a great interest in Paediatrics, Obstetric Care, Women’s and Sexual Health, Mental Health and Chronic Disease Care. She is competent in performing skin cancer checks and skin procedures.

Dr Thandar enjoys travelling, cooking and is fluent in both English and Burmese.
