Dr Claire Palmer completed her Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2000. Claire spent many years working as a medical registrar in regional and rural hospitals of New South Wales and Queensland before completing her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRCAGP) in 2012. Claire also holds a diploma in Child Health (DCH).
Claire has worked in Rockhampton at True Relationships and Reproductive Health (previously known as Family Planning Queensland). She is also interested in medical education and managed a teledermatology program while completing her General Practice training.
Dr Palmer is a renowned GP in Windsor who supports and encourages all patients, working with them to achieve positive health outcomes. Claire is especially interested in complex chronic disease management, women’s health and contraception (including contraceptive implant insertion), older people's health, and child health. She has a lot of experience conducting thorough skin checks and can perform biopsies and simple skin excisions.
Claire is a very loving and caring person. She likes nothing more than spending her spare time with her family.
