Dr Ankita Roy has a genuine passion for all aspects of caring for her patients and is committed to providing an excellent level of medical care. She is sensitive to patient needs and is very well regarded by her regular patients.
Dr Ankita Roy is a GP (FRACGP) who has been working in General Practice since 2002 and thoroughly enjoys this role. This passion and enthusiasm for her work comes through clearly in her treatment of those who consult her. She started Medicine at Sydney University in 1992 and graduated in 1999.She spent three years studying Psychiatry at St Vincents Hospital in Sydney.
Dr Ankita Roy previously worked in a general practice clinic in Maroubra, and also worked in a HIV clinic in Darlinghurst, before moving to a city practice, where she is now based.
In 2003, she worked in the UK, further training in paediatrics and mental health.
Dr Ankita Roy was the GP Advisor in immunisations for the Eastern Suburbs Division of General Practice from 2005-2012. She is an accredited level 2 mental health GP practitioner and has previously taught other GP’s in the field of mental health.
