Dr Thornton has been a General Practitioner at Helena Valley Medical Centre since 2009 and is starting with Northbridge Medical Centre in July 2015.

He grew up locally but completed his GP training in the UK. He is interested in medical education and teaches at UWA as well as working out bush for short locums in rural towns and communities.
