I was born in Northam from Ukrainian parents who migrated to Australia after World War 2. I was raised in Perth and schooled locally at Highgate Primary School and Mount Lawley High School.  I studied Medicine at the University of WA and graduated in 1975. I met my husband in my second year of studies and we have been blessed with 3 children.

In 1978, I purchased the original Third Avenue practice, located further along Third Avenue, from the late Eric Scott. I was joined by my fellow graduate Louis Papaelias, and together we ran the practice until our relocation in 1983 to our current premises.

I have loved every aspect of General Practice and the diversity of care that I’ve been able to provide. In the past, I performed Anaesthesia, surgical procedures and consulted in all areas from Paediatrics through to Aged Care.  At present, I am especially interested in Aged Care and Counselling and I have developed my own Weight Loss and Diabetes management program, which I run from the clinic. I also perform Acupuncture as part of our General Practice.

It has been an absolute pleasure to see Third Avenue Surgery advance and grow over the years. Our humble beginnings as a local one person practice have evolved into a 13 doctor surgery, with a full complement of nurses, staff, support services and now an After Hours clinic.
