Dr Bassem Yacoub grew up overseas and immigrated to Australia as a child. He originally studied a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2013, before finding his true passion for all things teeth. Dr Bassem went on to complete his Bachelor of Dental Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2018

Throughout his studies, Dr Bassem continued to work as a pharmacist. It was during this time that he also gained thorough clinical experience working within private practice.

Within the practice, Dr Bassem is passionate about all aspect of general dentistry with a particular interest in oral surgery, prosthodontics, and orthodontics. Wisdom teeth extractions were an early interest to him, and he has gone on to complete several courses focusing on extractions and oral surgery. He thoroughly enjoys that this aspect of dentistry often makes an immediate impact on his patients lives by taking them out of pain! In addition to this, Dr Bassem is currently completing a course in orthodontics. He says he “enjoys the mechanics behind teeth movement and finds the result to be very satisfying especially when treating kids”.

As a dentist, Dr Bassem is committed to building long lasting relationships with his patients. He takes great satisfaction out of providing good, quality work and providing a fantastic experience in the dental chair. Seeing his patients happy whether it’s fixing a particular dental issue or improving their smile is of utmost importance to him.

Outside of the practice Dr Bassem enjoys spending quality time with his friends. He’s a regular viewer and part time soccer player and loves going snowboarding in different areas around the world!
