Dr Roger Chang completed his Bachelor of Medical Studies (BMed) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) with distinction from the University of New South Wales in 2018. He has vast clinical experience and is keenly interested in Emergency Care, Child Health and management of complex symptoms.
Dr Chang is a highly skilled doctor in Riverwood who specialises in all aspects of General Practice. He obtained a postgraduate Certificate in Emergency Medicine from the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) in 2020. He worked as a Senior Resident in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Emergency at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in 2021. In the meantime, he also completed the Sydney Child Health Program (formerly Diploma of Child Health).
Currently, Roger is pursuing a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Medicine from the Royal Australian College of Physicians which is expected to be completed in early 2022. For this qualification, he worked at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. He looks after patients with advanced cancer, chronic illness and complex symptoms.
Dr Chang is also passionate about medical teaching and provides his services as an Adjunct Associate Lecturer for teaching the next generation of doctors at the University of New South Wales Prince of Wales Clinical School.
In his spare time, Roger loves spending quality time with his family and enjoys trying new foods and indoor bouldering. He speaks Mandarin in addition to English.
