Dr Ramesh Banduwardene obtained a degree of Doctor of Medicine from the St Petersburg Pavlov State Medical University in 2000. He commenced his practise in Sri Lanka and worked in regional areas and the Military Hospital for 6 years. In 2006, he accepted a job offer from Australia to work as a Medical Officer in the Mental Health Services.
Dr Banduwardene relocated to Australia and worked extensively in Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria. He pursued his career as a GP in 2009 and obtained his certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC) in 2012. He became an accredited Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in the same year.
Ramesh is a bilingual doctor. Other than English, he can speak multiple languages including Russian, Sinhalese, French and Hindi.
Dr Banduwardene is a compassionate doctor in Pakenham who specialises in all areas of general practise. He has a particular interest in Chronic Disease Management and Mental Health. He works collaboratively with the patients to provide an unrivalled level of care.
Dr Ramesh Banduwardene is passionate about culinary and enjoys cooking different cuisines in his free time.
