Dr Thusitha Abegunawardene graduated from the University of Colombo and migrated to Australia in 1994, where she continued her training during which Thusitha worked at the Women's and Children's Hospital, The Modbury Hospital and the QEH.

• Dr Abegunawardene gained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2000 and has since worked as a GP in Norwood, Mt Barker, Morphetville and Adelaide.
• Dr Abegunawardene is interested in Women's Health, Diabetes, Chronic Disease Management and Paediatrics.
• In her leisure time Thusitha enjoys Travelling and Gardening.
