Jade graduated from the University of Salford in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Jade has prior experience of working in a Women's Centre and through this gained professional experience whilst supporting various types of women with their mental health issues.
Jade works as a Professional Counsellor & Psychotherapist. Jade is from Manchester, United Kingdom, currently based in Sydney working both in-person and online with adults. Jade has extensive experience working with both adults and children.
Jade has been interested in Mental Health from an early age. Jade understands the effects mental health has on not only the sufferers, but the external individuals involved also.
Jade's passion throughout her career is to raise awareness on the normality of mental health and to help many people understand that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Jade's personal experiences have helped her to develop a strong passion for Mental Health and the use of talking therapies has helped her to develop and implement the theoretical side to Counselling.
Jade uses her diverse background knowledge and experience to utilise a range of techniques to help clients gain control of their Mental Health.
Jade has been helping a wide variety of different clients in Sydney, Australia and has been focusing in helping an individual overcome common issues such as depression, anger management, substance abuse, stress, self-harm issues, suicidality, self-esteem/body image, loneliness, C-19 response and much more.
Jade's therapeutic style is a Person-centred approach to Counselling which was developed by humanist psychologist Carl Rogers during the 1940s and 1950s. Jade's main core Counselling technique as she believes that it helps build a great client/counsellor relationship and it is a great stepping stone into other therapies she uses, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gestalt and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Jade has an interest in a mindfulness-based approach and understands when you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgement it will effectively relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.
Jade has a current professional and recognised membership with The Person Centred Association (PCA) which covers her to work in the UK and abroad with clients.
Jade works in-person in Sydney, working with clients via a relaxed Walk N Talk approach in local parks & by the beaches. Jade also provides sessions online via both phone and zoom video.
