Faisal completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy through the University of Melbourne, where he gained experience through the Royal Melbourne & Royal Park Hospitals, the Royal Children's Hospital, Merri Health, Bass Coast Health, and the Victorian Rehabilitation Centre. He has also completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Anatomy, and a additional year of medical research into bowel cancer through the University of Melbourne.

Faisal has previously been a premiership winning Head Sports Trainer for the Yarra Valley Old Grammarian's Football Club and has also volunteered his time to the Australian Defense Force's Invictus Games, the Royal Children's Teddy Bear Hospital Good Friday Appeal, and Athletics Victoria competition meets.

Faisal's interests is musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neuro-muscular conditions, and utilising strong current evidence to direct exercise-based rehab. Faisal has continued his professional development through formal training in Dry Needling and APPI mat Pilates.

Beyond clinical interests, Faisal has been a South East Melbourne local his whole life and is an avid follower of the cricket and the Carlton Football Club.
