Dr David Main graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Western Australia in 1987. His postgraduate medical training was at major teaching hospitals in Perth (RPH, SCGH and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children) and at King’s College Hospital in London. He entered General Practice in 1994 and specialised in musculoskeletal and complementary medicine. Since 2004 he has specialised in aesthetic and laser skin medicine.

He has a Certificate in Dermoscopy and extended skills training in skin cancer (RACGP), and Certificate of Primary Care Dermatology (RACGP, in progress).

He has Bachelor of Science (Viticulture and Oenology), Curtin University, 2005.
