Dr Mark Nuttall is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He also holds additional qualifications in rural medicine, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island health and palliative medicine. Dr Nuttall spent much of his early career working on Palm Island off the coast of Townsville.

Dr Nuttall is an examiner for the RACGP and is actively involved in teaching of GP registrars. Dr Nuttall also works with the Royal Flying Doctor Service on a FIFO basis.

Prior to becoming a GP, Dr Nuttall worked as a psychiatric nurse at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Dr Nuttall is an animal lover and has pets ranging in size from 50g to 600kg!
