Dr Ali Gilani was born in Pakistan, and travelled around the world while growing up, including growing up in the United States, and Zimbabwe. After migrating to Australia, he lived in Rural Queensland (Mount Isa) attending high school there, and really loved the close knit community and values found in a rural setting.
Ali then attended the University of Queensland, completing an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences, and then attended the University of Queensland Medical School, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2016. He is a talented doctor in Underwood who is committed to providing comprehensive and holistic care to his patients.
Since then he has worked at the Princess Alexandra hospital, Queen Elizabeth hospital, and for the last 2 years he has been working in Logan Hospital. Whilst at Logan, he has completed many core and useful rotations, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Cardiology as well as working in Specialist Integrated ENT service clinic at Logan.
Dr Gilani also has a Diploma in Children’s Health from the University of Sydney (SCHP).
He holds strongly to Australian values, as well as his cultural background and religious values.
