Dr Abhishek Rana is a Registrar in GP training and a new member of the team. He acquired his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College Mangalore in the year 2000. He worked extensively in many hospitals of New Delhi and gained experience in several medical specialties.

Abhishek has a keen interest in Orthopaedic Medicine and Surgery. He commenced his training in Orthopaedics in 2005 and prior to relocating to Australia in 2013, he worked as an Orthopaedics surgeon in New Delhi for 5 years.

Dr Rana’s vast experience set him apart as a highly competent GP in Nuriootpa who aims to support patients to attain the best quality of life possible from diagnosis to recovery. Prior to settling in Adelaide, he was living in the metro and small country towns. After arriving in Australia, he initially resided in Tanunda where he learned about Australia and its lifestyle.

Abhishek received his Australian Medical Council Certificate (AMC) in 2014 and also holds a fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Dr Rana enjoys spending his spare time with his family and friends. He is an enthusiastic cricket fan and enjoys watching cricket matches. He also loves to play badminton and enjoys travelling.

Dr Abhishek Rana has a special interest in performing surgical procedures including the Excision of Skin Lesion.

In addition to English, Abhishek can speak Hindi fluently.
