I obtained my MBChB in South Africa and worked there for 2 years in GP practice before leaving for Canada in 1997 where I met my wife and our two children were born..

While in Canada I obtained my LMCC in 1999 and in 2003 a further certificate of competency in family/general practice and in 2005 a certificate of competency in emergency medicine. Over 19 years I worked in a number of locations in northern Alberta and Vancouver Island as a primary partner in GP practice as well as an emergency physician in tertiary referral hospitals.

Wanderlust and a cold winter drove us to move to Australia in 2016 where I obtained fellowship with the RACGP and I have been practicing urban GP practice for the past 2 years.

My interest lies in acute care and preventative care of acute/chronic disease processes across the spectrum of age groups.I am well versed in skin checks and small procedures/excisions as well as acute injury management. I am a strong believer in evidence-based medicine.
