Michael views clients as ‘stuck’ rather than ‘broken’, and works collaboratively with you to help you live a richer, fuller, and more meaningful life. This is achieved in part by teaching you new skills to handle difficult thoughts and feelings more effectively so that they have less impact and influence. He has extensive experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, grief/loss, anger, and adjustment issues. Given his knowledge in Positive Psychology Michael also addresses your positive resources such as positive emotions, character strengths and meaning.
Michael is of the belief that mental health is more than merely the absence of mental illness, much like physical health is more than the absence of disease. As such, he will help you develop the skills to proactively stay on top of your mental health and to build resilience.
