About John,
John is currently a Clinical Psychologist working at the medical group. He works collaboratively with the General Practitioners to offer a non-judgmental and supportive approach to ensure patients receive best-practiced patient care possible. He typically sees patients once a week for psychotherapy to get acquainted and to create and foster a holding and contained mind space, in order to increase self-awareness and promote emotional growth.


Initially from a military background in New Zealand, John has experience working with a wide range of patients presenting with difficulties; expressing and managing emotional issues, trauma, grief and loss, and problems with relationship issues. He is open to work with any psychological issue and specialises in trauma (PTSD), anxiety, gender and sexuality issues, as well as acute and severe conditions, such as psychotic disorders, He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
