Michelle Bonnici (MBChB FRNZCGP FRACGP MWOMHMed) - General Practitioner
Michelle qualified in South Africa in 1984. She worked in a fertility and gynaecology unit for many years as well as acting as a police surgeon. She moved to New Zealand in 1994, where she worked as a GP and in emergency managing acute injuries and conditions. She was also involved in several government-led quality improvement projects like diabetes (of which she had the clinical lead in Auckland and Northland rural area), general practice and bowel screening initiatives.
In 2013 Michelle moved to Australia, where she has worked as a GP in regional NSW and Queensland. In 2016 she completed her Masters in Women's Health.
Michelle and her husband have 3 sons and 2 grandsons living in NSW. They enjoy travelling and cooking. Michelle enjoys the outdoors and nature, boating, fishing and reading.
Specialty interest areas: Women's Health including sexual health, fertility, contraception, early antenatal care and menopause management, minor surgical procedures.
