Dr Shima Tajik completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2002. She relocated to Australia with her family in 2009 and commenced practising as a GP in the rural areas of Tasmania and in the rural as well as metropolitan areas of Melbourne. She became a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2012.
Dr Tajik understands the duty of care toward her patients and always seeks to maintain respectful relationships as a doctor in Bentleigh East. She specialises in Chronic Disease Management, Children’s Health, Women’s Health and Young Adult’s Health.
Shima actively takes part in the training of future doctors and is affiliated as a GP with the department of General Practice at Monash University. She also provides her services as a teacher and supervisor for the medical students at Clayton Road Doctors and Centre Road Medical Centre. She has been an examiner of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) as well.
Dr Shima Tajik is a bilingual doctor and is fluent in English and Persian.
