Overview

Rest in Peace - we all miss you terribly!

Ian is QLD born, bred and educated. He graduated from the University of QLD and trained at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. After performing relief work in rural areas, he was then gained extensive experience in his appointment as Senior Medical Officer at Mount Isa Base Hospital and assisted the Royal Flying Doctors Service on occasions. With family and children he returned to Brisbane and joined the well-established Wynnum & Bayside Medical Practice on Bay Terrace, and has practiced there many years until its closure in 2017.

Ian was a medical officer for the Wynnum Manly Rugby League club for some years and still has many friends from that time. Other interests include a passion for Roman History and golf. He is a member of the Wynnum Golf Club and plays regularly. He also cares greatly for the welfare of animals and is a past president of the German Shepherd Dog Club, QLD. He supports the RSPCA and WWF especially the conservation of tigers in Nepal. He is skilled across the whole gamut of general practice and has a special interest in preventative medicine, viewing this as the way forward in holistic health management.
