Vara is a visiting orthopaedic surgeon in Nedlands Medical Centre and consults usually on a Saturday. His appointments are not available online and a GP referral is needed. Please contact our front desk and we will be able to help you with an appointment.

Mr. Vara Mukundala completed his FRACS from both Glasgow and Edinburgh. He then proceeded with his fellowship training overseas in Hip and Knee joint replacements both Primary and Revision. After succeeding the Royal Australasian College requirements, Vara qualified for his FRACS in Orthopaedic Surgery. He has published several articles in peer review orthopaedic journals and presented papers in both National and International meetings.

Vara specialises in Shoulder, Hip, Knee problems involving Arthritis, Sports injuries. Hip and Knee joint replacements both Primary and Revision with special interest in Computer assisted surgery and Arthroscopic surgery (Knee and Shoulder). Other areas of interest are Upper limb surgery involving Shoulder problems. He practices minimal invasive surgery and novel methods of post-operative pain control.

He currently consults in Joondalup Health Campus and St John of God, Murdoch.

He has now admitting and operating rights at Joondalup Health Campus, St John of God Hospital in Murdock and SJOG Hospital in Mount Lawley.

He is a no-gap health provider for patients with major health funds.
