Graduating from University of Medicine 1, Yangon Myanmar in 2003, Dan then went on to work as a General Practitioner as well as an officer in the Medical Education Centre after his internship in Myanmar. 

Dan then came to Australia where he first started working as a GP in Biloela in central Qld in 2011 until the end of 2012. He then moved to a beautiful beach town of Yeppoon in central Qld and worked as a GP for total health medical centre for over four years. During this time Dan finished his medical council exams and also gained his Fellowship in General Practice.  

During his time as a Doctor Dan has gained very good experience with acute and chronic disease management and worked with all areas of day to day general practice. 
General Practice appeals to Dan as he enjoys being the primary carer for his patients. Dr Daniel Htoo has now joined the Bywater Medical Forest Lake team on a full time basis.
