Shami has been practising medicine for 16 years. She acquired a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the Imperial College School of Medicine in the year 2000, and worked in the UK and NZ before settling here in Melbourne with her husband. She has an interest in women's health and offers family planning services including implanon insertion.  She is a compassionate doctor in Balwyn with a patient-centred approach to health care.

Her passion lies in Integrative Medicine which takes a holistic approach towards improving your health. Being able to understand both sides of the health coin, namely conventional and holistic therapies, allows Shami to blend the best of both worlds to bring balance to your life and help you make the right choices when it comes to your health and well being. She is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the ACNEM, which enables her to constantly upgrade her skills and be part of a community of practitioners who are passionate about integrative medicine.
