Dr Brownhill works for our Equinox GP service for Trans, Gender Diverse and Non Binary people.

Adam comes to us with a significant amount of Primary Care experience. A graduate of University College London in 1998, he completed his General Practice training with the Oxford deanery gaining Membership to Royal College of General Practitioners in 2004.

He was a partner in several practices both in England and Wales. Where he started to develop his interest in prehospital care and emergency medicine. This culminated in helping to create SWIFTMedics a charity staffed by volunteer medics that delivered prehospital care across the South West of the UK. Placing a doctor only the only helicopter with nighttime capabilities in the UK. The charity won multiple awards as did its members. Adam received not only a Chief Ambulance Officers commendation but also a British Association for Immediate Care award.

In 2013 Adam relocated to Australia, having gained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and spent the following four years working with some of the most remote and disadvantaged communities in Australia in the Northern Territory and far North Queensland.

His passion for developing innovative solutions to healthcare delivery continued with his use of Telehealth via a trail with Telstra. He presented at several quality improvement conferences as well as at events like Broadband for the Bush.

In 2015 he was awarded Northern Territory General Practitioner of the year having received a commendation the year before. He was also the senior clinician of the team that received the Chronic Disease Network Primary Healthcare team of the year award in 2015.

In 2016 Adam was gained a further Fellowship in Advanced Rural General Practice from the RACGP. He has a keen interest in Ultramarathons having participated in a number himself in the U.K, Chile and Australia. He has provided, as a volunteer, senior medical support to the Big Red Run Australia’s only desert based Ultra for the last three years.

Adam has been involved in medical education for over a decade across a broad range of professions. Clinically his interests are broad and include, but are not limited to, Men’s health, chronic disease, mental health- particularly stress, sports medicine and paediatrics.

He is an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
