I endeavor to provide a non-judgmental therapeutic space that offers safety, acceptance and respect. I work to comprehensively explore the underlying reasons for referral and work together with my clients to establish the therapeutic approach moving forward. Empowering my clients and working with individual strengths is a key focus of my work. I believe a collaborative relationship and strong therapeutic alliance are key factors in facilitating insight, understanding and growth.
My clinical training and work in the field of psychology encompasses a broad range of experience within both the public and private mental health sectors. I have had the opportunity to provide individual and group therapeutic services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, to address a broad range of presenting issues. Most recently, I have provided clinical services within a specialist eating disorders centre. I have a strong interest in women’s mental health and a personal and professional investment in mindfulness meditation. I believe continued personal and professional development is key to the therapeutic experience one can offer. I continually seek to enrich, strengthen and broaden my knowledge and skills through specialist consultation and training.
