From a young age Liz wanted to work in the world for which she is passionate about – sport. 

Whilst in high school she successfully represented her state in multiple Rowing competitions, and she continues to enjoy rowing to keep fit.  Originally from country Tasmania, Liz moved to Melbourne to study at Victoria University, graduating with both a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy).

During her studies, she had the opportunity to work with a number of elite athletes with her highly successful massage business and furthered her clinical training at the Melbourne High School old boys football Club, working as a sports trainer. In her final year with the club, Liz was promoted to head trainer and was largely involved in rehabilitating injured players.

Liz has recently joined the Restore team from Melbourne where she has been working with patients with all manner of pain and troubling issues.  However despite being a capable practitioner in all forms of osteopathy she (not surprisingly) specialises in sports injuries.  As an accomplished rower and sportswoman, Liz enjoys the challenges one faces when working with problems faced by our active patients, from elite athletes to weekend warriors.  Her exposure to working with athletes has sparked her passion for exercise prescription to assist with osteopathic management.  In dealing with conditions such as shin splints, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis and muscle strains coupled with knee, back and hip pain, Liz develops a treatment plan which also includes exercise prescription and a staggered return to activity.
