Overview

He attended Saitama Medical University in 1995 in Japan and graduated in 2001 and was awarded a Bac.Med, passing the Japan Medical Board examination in 2001. He started his surgical career at Osaka City University Hospital.

In 2007, Dr Yasuda finished his surgical training and was awarded surgical specialist by the Japan Surgical Association.

During his surgical training, he spent his time in adult and paediatric general surgery as well as general anaesthetics.

After almost 12 years of a surgical career in Japan, Dr Yasuda decided to come to Australia to practice with his wife and two daughters.

A move in 2013, to Mersey Community Hospital in Tasmania provided Dr Yasuda with a position to work as a ‘young’ doctor in Australia, where he gained great experience in Emergency (not surgery).

During his time in Tasmania, he was able to gain his general medical registration as a doctor in Australia.

In January 2015, he moved to Mater Adult Hospital in the Emergency Department in Brisbane.

It was at this time DR Yasuda realised his passion rested with the more intense relationship involved with individual patients and made the necessary move to transverse to the GP setting. He wanted to stay closer to patients and build long-term relationships with patients, which is not possible in Emergency.

At Cabarita Family Medial Services, Dr Yasuda is keen to do paediatric, skin cancer, minor injury—with surgical experience, sport, musculoskeletal disease and preventative medicine.

As a doctor, he likes to keep fit, participating in marathons, weight training (he was a body builder) and surfing. Personally, he likes cooking, and spending time with his family.
