Rachael grew up in the local area and went to high school on the Gold Coast. She completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours at The University of Queensland, and then went on to study Medicine at The University of Sydney and obtained her M.B.,B.S. in 2005. After living and working overseas in San Francisco and Singapore for several years, she moved back to the Tweed area.
Since relocating back to the local area in 2008, Rachael has completed her internship and residency at The Tweed Hospital and then went on to work in general practice in Murwillumbah.
Rachael has particular interests in adolescent medicine, women’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics, chronic disease management and skin cancer medicine. She is a certified practitioner with Family Planning QLD and is trained to fit intrauterine contraceptive devices/Mirena. Rachael is currently undertaking additional studies in skin cancer medicine with Australasian Skin Cancer College.
Rachael is married with four young children. In her spare time she enjoys travel, camping, reading and good food.
