Since graduating in Medicine from the University of Queensland she completed her cardiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Prince Charles Hospitals, Brisbane. Her post-graduate training includes fellowships in both echocardiography at the University of California, San Francisco and Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA.
Dr Walters now bases her practice in general cardiology and echocardiography at the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital and visits the Prince Charles Hospital.
