Dr Carter; originally from the UK emigrated to Australia in 1976.  He has worked in the Macedon Ranges and surrounds for 30 plus years. Paul has practised as a pathologist, but in realising his desire to help people directly, he started working in suburban general practice. Paul set up Lancefield Country Practice in 2009. In doing so, he provided a medical service that was not yet available in that township. More recently, Paul has developed a number of self- help programmes for patients and is a regular speaker giving presentations on mental health issues to local men’s groups, local community health centres, meetings and parents evenings at local schools.
