Dr Gwendolyn Wu grew up in Singapore and came to Australia to further her tertiary education. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2006. To complete her internship, she relocated to Perth and had a change of scenery too. She mainly wanted to be closer to her family.
Gwendolyn worked extensively in several medical specialties in various hospitals, including Royal Perth Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital. She developed a strong passion for general practice and enjoys working as a GP, caring for patients and their families, investing time to get to know her patients, problem solving and delivering quality healthcare. She became a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2021.
Dr Wu is a compassionate doctor in Aubin Grove who has a profound experience in all areas of general medicine. She also takes a keen interest in Travel Medicine, Palliative Care, Paediatrics and Women’s Health, including Antenatal Care.
Gwendolyn believes that a good work-life balance is important for being a good practitioner. Other than working at the clinic, she enjoys travelling and photography. She loves to go for a hike as well. She keeps a balance between work and personal life by engaging in these and several other activities.
Dr Wu enjoys working at the Third Avenue Surgery along with the highly devoted team of professionals. She takes great pride in sharing with them a vision to continue to provide the community with an unraveled level of care.
Dr Gwendolyn Wu is multilingual and fluent in English as well as Mandarin.
