Dr Kriek completed his primary medical degree and a postgraduate diploma in family medicine in South Africa before moving to Australia in 2008.

He started his Australian journey in Broome Hospital, where he worked as a District Medical Officer for 2 and a half years before moving to Albany.

In 2010 he obtained fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, in 2011 he completed the Australian Dermatology Diploma and more recently the Professional Diploma of Dermoscopy. 

His special interests include family medicine, chronic disease management, paediatrics, dermatology and primary skin cancer surgery.

He further enjoys the outdoors, gardening, long distance running and spending time with his family.
