Dr Con Mitropoulos commenced at Midtown Medical Clinic in February 1994.
Con specialises in all aspects of General Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is a renowned and well-respected Sports Doctor and a General Practitioner. He is well-known for his thorough management of his patients.
Dr Mitropoulos obtained his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Monash University in 1992. He worked as a resident doctor at Dandenong, Sandringham and Royal Children’s Hospital. During his 2-year appointment, he specialised in General Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics and Emergency Medicine. He started his general practise in 1994 and became a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 1997.
During 1994-1996, Con worked at several sports medicine centres all across Melbourne, including The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre. In 2018, he became a director of The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre. He provided his services for 8 years as the assistant doctor at North Melbourne Football Club from 1994 and in 2002, he became the senior doctor there and served for 8 years more. He joined our co-located Midtown Medical Clinic in 1994 and became a director in 1999 and is still providing his services.
Dr Mitropoulos’s vast experience and medical qualifications set him apart as a highly competent doctor in Melbourne. Currently, he is consulting at The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre and Midtown Medical Clinic. Additionally, he works as an Assistant Surgeon with some of Melbourne’s leading orthopaedic surgeons.
Dr Con Mitropoulos is multilingual and fluent in English as well as Greek.
