Prof Jeff Hamdorf is an experienced Upper GI surgeon specialising in Hernia Repair and Gallbladder surgery and other abdominal surgery. He offers prompt consultation times at his clinic in Nedlands and by Telehealth and operates at Bethesda Private hospital in Claremont. 

He is a No-gap surgeon with HBF and has a small known gap with some other funds. He welocmes DVA and ADF patients.

He was awarded a membership of the Order of Australia for his services to medical education in 2019. He is a Director of CTEC , which promotes and teaches excellence in surgery technques at UWA. He currently is a key contributor and Trustee to the International Foundation for Patient Blood Management for the World Health Organisation.

He pioneered the team approach to weight loss surgery in Perth, founding Western Surgical Health in 2008. He is the immediate past President of ANZMOSS, the australia-new Zealand metabolic and Obesity society.
