About Martin

Martin is a registered psychologist with a warm, compassionate nature and more than 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents and their families.

His approach is strength-based and client-centred, employing a range of therapeutic approaches to meet collaboratively-defined goals. He has training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), solution-focussed brief therapy, Motivational Interviewing, suicide prevention and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Martin is passionate in his work with Adolescents and young people, specialising in the assessment and treatment of a range of issues including: anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, learning difficulties, emotional regulation, stress management and behavioural issues.

He aims to create a warm, trusting and confidential space within which to work with his clients. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), an AHPRA member, AHPRA-approved supervisor and is actively involved with the supervision of provisionally registered psychologists.

Clinical experience and background

Martin completed his Bachelor of Science with honours in Psychology and a Diploma of Education (major: School Psychology) at the University of Western Australia. He has worked extensively in the public sector, facilitating individual and group therapy, running parenting workshops, mental health first aid, mentoring and supervising other Psychologists and he has a passion for early intervention and helping others.
